RTT Hypnotherapy

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance does not cover any coaching programs.

What is the difference between counseling/therapy and life coaching?

Counseling/therapy typically focuses on the past and identifying or labeling the client’s feelings and behaviors. It is not uncommon for those in counseling/therapy to experience things getting worse before they begin to get better. Life coaching is very forward facing and does not include a lot of focus on the past. Instead, the focus is on transformation through education and helping you to make the changes necessary to getting you focused on today and the future. My clients often report feeling better and doing better after the first session.

Do you guarantee the privacy of my information?

Absolutely! Coach Monique & Associates guarantees never to share your information. All client information is kept secure and confidential.

What can I expect from coaching?

Coaching with me consists of powerful conversations. I will ask you questions in a way that is deep and thought-provoking. This helps you understand how you view things, how you are holding yourself back or sabotaging yourself, what your mental blocks are, and to make meaningful connections. You will then begin to see things more clearly and have a more objective, balanced insights. You will then learn the tools, techniques, and strategies to move forward in a powerful way to make the changes and meet your goals.

What sets you apart from other coaches….in short, why should I work with you?

My job is to help you experience rapid results. My average life coaching engagement is just 8 sessions. The longest I have ever worked with a single life coaching client is 24 sessions and they were making major changes in several areas of their life within a year. My job is to help you become free and empowered by helping you to discover what you didn’t know that you didn’t know about yourself and to give you the tools, techniques, and education to move forward and live your best life.

Do you have evening hours?

Yes, we offer evening appointments (Eastern Standard Time).

If I decide to move forward and sign up for coaching what is the process?

Typically someone decides to become a client during a Discovery Call or during an email conversation. Once you decide to work with me, you are given a tentative appointment for your first session. That session is not guaranteed until payment is made. There are two options. You can either give your credit card information over the phone and have your appointment guaranteed immediately or you can pay it via invoice electronically. If you opt for an electron invoice, it is due immediately upon receipt. If the invoice is not paid immediately, the appointment is released.

Do I schedule all of my appointments at once or can I schedule week to week?

That is completely up to you. Some clients prefer to schedule all of their appointments on the front end and others schedule week to week.

What if I start a coaching program and decide it isn’t what I need?

I honor your investment by offering a refund for any unused sessions anytime during the coaching engagement should you decide you do not wish to continue. While this very rarely happens (this has only happened 4 times in 16 years), I want you to know you are never "stuck" with having sessions that you do not want or feel you do not need. We do not front load sessions so all sessions are prorated.

How long is each coaching session?

Sessions last between 90 minutes and 2 hours.

What is the average number of sessions needed?

My average client engagement is for 8 sessions.

How often will I need to meet with Coach Monique?

That varies client to client. Many clients come weekly during the beginning of their coaching engagement and then taper off to every other week. Many clients lead busy lives and cannot make weekly appointments. The average coaching engagement lasts 10-12 weeks to complete all 8 sessions.

Do I have to have my sessions in-person?

No, at least half of my clients do all their work via Zoom, an online meeting platform. Clients who live outside of Pittsburgh sometimes opt to travel to Pittsburgh for the initial meeting with me and then do the balance of their meetings online. I work with clients all over the United States and the world and often never meet them in person.

Yes, at any given time, I have two or three clients who are trying to figure out the meaning of their lives and what is next for them.

What are the most common issues you work with life coaching clients for?

In my life coaching practice, the most common issues clients seek me out for are: stress, anxiety, depression, self-confidence, major life changes (divorce, death of a loved one, and loss of a job/career) relationship issues, infidelity in a spouse, and looking for more meaning in life.

RTT Hypnotherapy

What is it like to be hypnotized using RTT Hypnotherapy?

To help you become optimally relaxed before we begin the RTT Hypnotherapy, I’ll guide you through a 3-5 minute breath work exercise. Once you’re relaxed, I begin the actual RTT Hypnotherapy process. You'll drift into a deeper state of relaxation. Many clients say it feels similar to meditation or like a trance state when doing yoga. Although everyone’s experience is different, some clients feel very light in their bodies while others feel very heavy.

What are the benefits of RTT Hypnotherapy?

The benefits of RTT Hypnotherapy are numerous. Some of the most common issues clients resolve include: anxiety, stress, depression, self-confidence, self-esteem, self-worth issues, panic attacks, excessive drinking, drug use, test anxiety, performance anxiety, weight loss, pain control (only after a doctor has been consulted to rule out possible health issues associated with the pain), sexual problems, relationship problems, and sports performance.

How does RTT Hypnotherapy work?

We are heavily influenced by our subconscious mind (thoughts, beliefs, expectations, and interpretations) but we are largely unaware of them. This is the reason it can be so difficult to make positive, sustainable changes. Using RTT Hypnotherapy, you can bypass your conscious mind and access your subconscious mind to uncover the real reasons you are struggling.

Will I be asleep during the session?

You do not sleep during RTT Hypnotherapy. You get very relaxed.

Do I lose control during RTT Hypnosis?

No. In RTT Hypnotherapy, you are always in control. You will not divulge any information you don’t want to and you cannot be made to do anything against your will.

What if I can’t be hypnotized using RTT Hypnotherapy?

The vast majority of people can be hypnotized. Each individual’s experience with RTT Hypnotherapy is varied. Some clients drop into the hypnotic state very quickly and remain very still with their eyes closed the entire time. Other clients take a little longer to drop into the hypnotic state or may even open their eyes during the session. Either way, it’s okay because no two experiences are exactly the same.

Is RTT Hypnotherapy for everyone?

RTT Hypnotherapy is not recommended for anyone who has seizures or has been diagnosed with epilepsy. I do not work with individuals who have been diagnosed with serious mental health issues such as: Bi-Polar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder, hallucinations, or delusions. In addition, I do not work with anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of his or her session.

What ages do you work with?

I have worked with children as young as three years old. Typically, my clients are adults.

Who has been helped with RTT Hypnotherapy?

Sylvester Stallone used hypnotherapy work to break through his writer’s block and overcome his confidence issues so that he could complete his screenplay, Rocky.  We know how well that worked out!  Other celebrities who have benefitted from hypnotherapy are Kim Kardashian, Adele, David Beckham, and Ben Affleck. Professionally, I have worked with professional athletes, Paralympic athletes, CEOs, celebrities, doctors, lawyers, IT professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, scientists, a Hell’s Angel Biker (he was my most colorful), community workers, and terminally-ill patients.  Mostly I work with regular people who are struggling and ready to make changes in their lives.

What if you help me uncover something I am not ready to share?

If you are not ready to uncover something, your subconscious mind will protect you and not allow it to come up. If you are not willing to discuss something, you simply won’t talk about it.
